Winslade Manor is a popular hospitality venue in Devon, offering restaurant dining, private dining and a varied programme of events in a beautiful countryside setting.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef with a minimum of five years’ professional kitchen experience to join our team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across restaurant service, private dining, weddings and events, with different menus, guests and service requirements.
You will help prepare and deliver quality food, maintain high kitchen standards and work closely with the Head Chef and wider team to ensure every service runs smoothly.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Support a variety of services, including restaurant dining, private dining, weddings and events.
- Assist with menu preparation and development, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Adapt to different menus, functions and service requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, allergen management and Health & Safety.
- Assist with stock control, portion control and minimising food waste.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
About You
- A minimum of five years’ professional kitchen experience.
- A passion for good food, quality ingredients and presentation.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a changing workload.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
