Job Overview
Winslade Manor seeks a results-driven Restaurant Manager to oversee overall operations. The ideal candidate will showcase strong business acumen, effectively manage day-to-day activities, ensure financial success, and maintain exceptional customer service. This pivotal role demands a leader who can take full accountability for P&L responsibility, staff management, and gross profit optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, hands-on leadership across all departments, fostering a high-performance culture. With the successful candidate being seen as the host for all busy services and events.
- Manage day-to-day operations across the restaurant, bar, events, and outside catering contracts
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Executive Chef on strategic planning and operational delivery
- Drive service standards and consistently exceed guest expectations
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and team development
- Monitor financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships and stock management systems
- Act as the face of the business, maintaining client relationships and driving new business opportunities, particularly in the events and outside catering sectors
About You
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leadership role in a high-end, fast-paced hospitality environment
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- Operationally strong with a hands-on approach and eye for detail
- Financially astute with experience in budgeting, P&L, and cost control
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences
- Experience in events and off-site catering logistics is a significant advantage
